BLEACH* is back.
Yes! The popular Gold Coast performing arts festival is coming in November with a packed program that simply shouldn’t be missed. Its usual April scheduling was postponed due to COVID-19 yet, now COVID Safe with support from the City of Gold Coast, BLEACH* 2020 is all set to go ahead for 11 days of entertainment, art and festivity.
BLEACH Gold Coast Festival celebrates art and culture annually with a family-friendly program that involves live music, theatre, dance, circus, public art installations and more held both indoors and outdoors. 2020 marks its 9th consecutive annual event and the program is already as exciting as its previous years!
Burleigh Heads will once again take centre stage as the Festival Hub, hosting the Bleach Club Bar, Sparks at Bleach and the First and Last Night ceremonies, which will kick off and leave the festival on a high note with Indigenous artist and performer Luther Cora joined by Yugambeh dancers.
More events over the 11-day festival will include artist workshops, visual art exhibitions and a host of live music, circus and dance performances in Burleigh Heads, Chevron Island and lots more. Most of the events are FREE to come along and enjoy, with some events requiring registration beforehand (still free!).
BLEACH* encourages all visitors to be COVID Safe at this year’s festival, where there will be hand sanitation stations at festival hubs and venues, as well as 1.5-metre social distancing to be observed. This does mean limited capacity for all events, so make sure to grab any necessary ticket bookings in advance.
Overall, BLEACH Festival 2020 is set to be as moving, exciting and inspiring as ever, and not to be missed for lovers of art and live performance – as well as anyone looking for a thrilling good time on the coast this spring!
